The Sarnia Arena is getting a new sound system, thanks to a $10,000 donation from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62.
The Brock Street Barn is undergoing a $1.5-million revitalization that includes upgrades to the washrooms and change rooms, lobby and concession area, façade repairs and improved energy efficiency.
The cost is split between federal funding, the parks and recreation budget and ongoing community fundraising.
The project is about 75% complete, but the city is still looking to the community to help meet the fundraising goal, said parks and rec director Rob Harwood.
