Lambton Public Health is closing its community COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
The last scheduled mass vaccination clinic at the Point Edward Optimist Hall was held Tuesday, and the last ones in Wyoming and Forest are on Thursday.
The move comes amid a significant decrease in demand, the health unit said in a release.
“The closing of these fixed site community clinics at this time is a positive sign. It is a testament to the tireless efforts of our community partners, municipalities, public health staff and the hundreds of volunteers in our communities who have stepped up to support the vaccine roll-out from day one.”
Access to COVID-19 vaccine is still available at the Lambton Public Health clinic every Tuesday in April. Appointments can be booked online or by calling 1-800-667-1839.
Residents can also contact participating pharmacies and their primary health care providers. Updated info and clinic availability can be found at getthevacccine.ca.
