Lambton College has been selected to host the 2020 Ontario College Athletics Association (OCAA) Men’s Basketball Championships.
The event features the final eight college teams competing for the provincial title
“Such a big day for Lambton College and our growing basketball program. We look forward to hosting athletes from across the province at our new Athletics & Fitness Complex,” the college said in a release.
Lambton unveiled its new $18.2-million Athletics and Fitness Complex in October. The 40,000-square-foot sports complex includes a double-gymnasium with seating for 1,241 spectators.
This year’s championship was held at Georgian College in Barrie, where the Lions were eliminated by Niagara College in the opening game.
The Lions finished the regular season with a 10-11 record and averaged 89.6 points per game.
