Lambton College’s reputation as a powerhouse of applied research continues.
Colleges and Institutes Canada presented Lambton with a gold award for research and innovation excellence recently, its fifth in four years.
The organization said Lambton’s institutional commitment to research impacts small and medium-sized enterprises, the local community, and Ontario.
Since 2013, its Applied Research & Innovation department has developed and executed more than 600 projects, resulted in more than 100 prototypes, 20 pilot plants and 300 new or improved processes, technologies and services.
Lambton previously won gold in 2016, silver in 2017, and bronze in 2018. As well, Executive Dean Mehdi Sheikhzadeh was recognized for leadership excellence in 2017.
Lambton is is the number one research college in Canada based on research income.
