The Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest will return this year on Father’s Day weekend with a new venue, new financial sponsor and a slew of tribute bands.
The Carpenters’ union, Local 1256, is the popular event’s new presenting sponsor, the club announced last week.
Ribfest is also moving from Centennial Park to Canatara Park to take advantage of the beach, Animal Farm and free parking.
Also planned for June 19-21 are a children’s’ entertainment area, an artist area, additional food vendors and 10 live bands, including tribute acts to the Bare Naked Ladies, Shania Twain, Tom Petty and others.
