Lambton Public Health has mandated additional proof of vaccination requirements for children age 12 and older using sports and recreation facilities.

Starting Nov. 30, everyone 12-plus must show proof they have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering a facility.

For youth to meet that requirement and continue playing sports, they can begin the vaccination process within six months of turning 12 in 2022.

Shots are available at pharmacies, primary care providers and community clinics. For more, or to book an appointment, visit lambtonpublichealth.ca

As of last week, 80.8% of Sarnia-Lambton residents age 12-plus were fully vaccinated, and 83.9% had received at least one dose.
