Residents are invited to take park in a ‘Spring Reforestation Project’ hosted by Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton.
The event takes place May 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wiltshire Park in Sarnia and involves planting trees and shrubs and laying mulch.
The goal is to add multiple types of vegetation to transform an urban grass area into more bio-diverse habitat, the group said.
Adults and youth are welcome, and are asked to bring work gloves, shovels and strong footwear.
