The Sarnia Imperials started their 2019 playoff campaign on the right foot last weekend.
Sarnia’s Northern Football Conference team defeated the Oakville Longhorns XX – XX in the first round of the playoffs at Norm Perry Park on July 27.
The Imperials trounced the Longhorns 41 – 0 on July 20 at Bronte Park, clinching the Western Division of the 9-team league.
They finished the regular season 6-2 and tied for 2nd place with Hamilton’s Steel City Patriots.
The GTA All Stars, who defeated the Imperials in the league finals last year, finished the season in first.
