An all-clear has been issued at Imperial Oil in Sarnia following a hydrocarbon leak, Tuesday afternoon.
“Perimeter air monitoring did not detect any readings,” the company said via Lambton Alerts. “Operations at the site have returned to normal.”
In an earlier notification from Lambton Alerts at 2:30 p.m., the company said its emergency response team had been ‘activated’ following a hydrocarbon leak from process equipment at the Sarnia site.
“Community members may notice elevated flaring and noise that may be heard offsite,” the alert stated.
