A 29-year-old St. Clair Township man faces impaired driving charges after police were called about a possible impaired driver, Saturday.

Lambton OPP say police were called around 8:30 p.m. and located the suspect vehicle on Baseline Road.

“Upon speaking with the driver it became apparent they had consumed an alcoholic beverage, at which time a roadside screening device was administered,” a news release stated. “The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to a Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit.”

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
