The Great Lakes Wolfpack used home-team cleaned up at the 2017 LKSSAA Wrestling Championships.
The amalgamated squad from the former SCITS and St. Clair schools dominated the mats, bringing home thegirls team championship (70point) and overall team championship (147 points).

They also had one of their own, Hannah VanderSlagt, who placed first in the 51 Kg. class, was named female MVP of the meet.
Northern Collegiate won the boys team championship with 80 points, three ahead of Great Lakes.
One of the stories of the tournament was St. Patrick’s High School star wrestler Nathan Moro.
Fresh off of a gold-medal win at Provincials earlier this month, Moro earned tournament MVP and sailed to a first place spot in the 72 Kg. class.
LKSSAA winners proceeded to the SWOSSA Championships at Tecumseh Vista Academy in Tecumseh.
