High school tennis results

Following are results from the Lambton Kent high school north division tennis play downs, held Oct. 5 at the Sarnia Riding Club and Sarnia Tennis Club.

A total of 80 students from the seven Sarnia-Lambton secondary schools participated in the tournament.


Boys Singles: Chandler Haagsma (Northern) defeated Riley Bore (Northern) 8-2

Girls Singles: Elise McInnes (St. Patrick’s) defeated Divija Bhargava (Northern) 8-1

Boys Doubles: Ethan Jones & Nolan Gladwish (Northern) defeated Mason Hyde & Josh South (LCCVI) 8-7

Girls Doubles: Hannah Symington & Lexi Graham (LCCVI) defeated Sarah Hayter & Ashley Kucera (LCCVI) 8-5

Mixed Doubles: Courtney Tremain & Tristan Haagsma (Northern) defeated Julia Daniel and Jett Jarvis (LCCVI) 8-4


Boy’s Singles: Tyler Dibattista (St. Francois-Xavier) defeated Bence Esztegar (St. Francois-Xavier) 8-5

Girls Singles: Marissa Mueller (LCCVI) defeated Meaghan Gregoris (Great Lakes) 8-5

Boys Doubles: Matt McIntyre & Joel Sommerville (North Lambton) defeated Noah McCann & Kelby Page (North Lambton) 8-6

Girls Doubles: Hannah Lacey & Nashita Mukherjee (Northern) defeated Erin Lacey & Vivian Kristjannson (Northern) 8-7

Mixed Doubles: Lyndsey Osler & Sam Ainsworth (Northern) defeated Gillian Irwin & Jesse Searson (North Lambton) 8-7

All of the above players advance to the LKSSAA Championship in Chatham.

Also advancing in the open division as sanctioned tournament players were Andrew Davies (Northern), Ashley Gregoris (St. Patrick’s), Matt Mueller (LCCVI) and Griffin Allen (LCCVI).
