Runners from Northern Collegiate posted strong results at a regional high school cross country meet held in Windsor on Oct. 1, with seven athletes scoring top 10 finishes in a large field.
In midget girls, Madison Winegard was 3rd and Kaylee White 4th while in junior girls Lauren Perkins was 3rd and Caroline Forbes 6th, at the 20th annual Thrill on the Hill.
Sarah Riser placed fourth in senior girls.
In the junior boys division, Andrew Davies had a 2nd place finish while Nick Forbes was 4th.
The strong individual results were reflected in the overall team results, with Northern finishing no lower than 6th in any of the six divisions.
Two other city high schools, SCITS and St. Clair, also participated in the meets.
