Health unit looking for information after dog bite incident

Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, at the Dollarama on Exmouth Street.

The dog, described as a medium-sized pitbull-terrier, black in colour with a white patch

on its neck, was tied up outside of the store with a long rope, according to a news release from the health unit. The person who was bit did not see the owner of the dog.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
