Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, at the Dollarama on Exmouth Street.

The dog, described as a medium-sized pitbull-terrier, black in colour with a white patch
on its neck, was tied up outside of the store with a long rope, according to a news release from the health unit. The person who was bit did not see the owner of the dog.

If you have any information relating to the location of the dog and its owner, please
contact Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3601 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
