Health unit looking for dog that bit child, 11

Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 11 a.m. on Monday, April 10 near High Park Public School.

The dog, described as a medium-sized pitbull-terrier mix, black and white in colour, was
being walked on a leash by the assumed owner, described as a woman around 70
years old, with white hair.

The person who was bit was an 11-year-old child. They had reportedly asked the owner for permission before petting the dog.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to
receive post exposure rabies shots.
