Golf club crowns champs

Barry Wright Rounds of 65 and 70 propelled Steve Brown to his first ever men's championship at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. Brown finished three shots ahead of Heath McCormick, who carded identical rounds of 69 over the two-day, 36-hole event.

Rounds of 65 and 70 propelled Steve Brown to his first ever men's championship at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.

Brown finished three shots ahead of Heath McCormick, who carded identical rounds of 69 over the two-day, 36-hole event.

Mike Shearon won the men's senior title by four shots over John Thrasher, and Gerri Boudreau won both the women's overall and senior championships.

Flight winners were Eric Pattenaude, Steve Wilcox, Brian Lynch, Steve Casselman, John Lapp, John McLean, John VanEgmond, Ilene VandenBroek, Carolyn Robbins and Donna Neuber. Wilcox and Lynch won their titles in a playoff.

A total of 142 golfers took part.
