The Colts Drum Line has found a new home.
The student percussion group has been offered space at the Community of Christ Church, across the road from the former St. Clair High School.
The group has access to two classrooms, a main rehearsal room and gymnasium to practice floor routines and maneuvers, as well as equipment storage.
Following the amalgamation of St. Clair and SCITS last year, it was decided the percussion group wouldn’t be part of the programming offered at the newly combined Great Lakes Secondary.
With nowhere to permanent home, there were fears it might eventually disband and sell off its equipment.
Organizer Shawn Bryan said the group can now look to expand on its membership of youth aged 10 to 21.
