A sketch comedy show takes the Imperial Theatre stage this weekend that is geared for a 19-plus audience.

“There’s definitely some swearing, there’s definitely some things that you’re going to see on stage that you’ve never seen live on that stage before,” said Ian Alexander, director of the OMiGodshow.

“We are definitely pushing the boundaries.”

OMiGodshow, (Oh my God show) is a two-act collection of 30 live sketches and video shorts with titles like, “Ben Affleck’s night terrors,” “All girls super sexy slumber party sleepover,” and “Teenage dirtbag, the musical,” which Alexander said is, “exactly what it sounds like.”

There isn’t a consistent theme to the sketches but they do take some shots at pop culture. The audience can expect a high quality production and most of the contributors, writers and actors are theatre Sarnia veterans, he said.

“It’s more about random characters and really good performances. We don’t have any Donald Trump sketches.”

Sarnia band Weird Neighbours performs during the production and at the end guests are invited to join the cast and crew on stage for a dance party.

“Everything is just kind of random and fun,” Alexander said.
