Outgoing Sarnia Sting defenseman Jeff King was invited by the Toronto Maple Leafs for player development this fall.

The St. Clair Michigan native, who played four seasons with the Sting and one with the Sarnia Legionnaires, earned the thumbs up after attending Toronto’s development camp last spring.

The former Sting blueliner collected 26 goals over the course of his OHL career. Prior to joining the Sting, King played 51 games with the Legionnaires. He also represented the Jr. Sting Minor Midget squad in 2011-12.
