Food drive was a miraculous success

Published on

St. Patrick’s High School’s annual Irish Miracle collected more than $100,000 worth of groceries on Dec. 1.

Some 500 plus students, staff and community volunteers took to the streets of Sarnia, Point Edward and Bright’s Grove and gathered 8,000 bags of non-perishable food and $4,000 in cash from generous residents.

“We are very thankful to the many donors who make this annual Christmas gift to the St. Vincent de Paul Society possible,” said St. Pat’s principal Chris Kehoe.

Planning is already underway for the school’s annual Cyclone Aid food drive in support of the Inn of the Good Shepherd, scheduled for March 30.
