Sarnia firefighters will be provided with kits to try and save the lives of drug overdose victims.
The anti-overdose drug naloxone is being distributed to fire personnel under an agreement with Lambton Public Health.
Sarnia Fire Rescue staff has already received training on how to administer naloxone, and how to detect a possible opioid overdose.
Firefighters are part of a tiered response along with Lambton EMS and often arrive at an emergency medical call before the ambulance.
