Figure skating event raises $20,000 for mental health

More than $20,000 was raised at the recent #TalkForTamara fundraiser held at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

More than $20,000 was raised at the recent #TalkForTamara fundraiser held at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena. The event, held in honour of Tamara Lumley, a member of the Point Edward Skate Club who died by suicide last year, featured a performance by Canadian pairs champs Michael Marinaro of Sarnia, and his partner Kirsten Moore-Towers. Proceeds will go towards local youth mental health initiatives.
