After postponing for more than two years, Lambton College will host its annual in-person fall Open House event this weekend.
The redesigned event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and includes a new information session called TECH Talk, featuring leaders from NOVA Chemicals and Imperial Oil.
“Our TECH Talk session is an excellent forum for prospective students and their families to hear from leaders of our local industry about opportunities for graduates right here in Sarnia-Lambton,” said Dave Machacek, Dean of technology & trades. “Attendees will hear first-hand about how Lambton College aligns programs and training with the needs of local industry and the ways in which our new facilities are providing the innovative learning environments that will produce the skilled workforce needed in our local sector.”
The event will also include the official launch party of the college’s new, standalone four-year Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree.
The program will be offered in its entirety at Lambton beginning next fall.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with deans, staff and students from all Lambton’s programs, including the enrolment team who will be on had to assist with the application process on-the-spot. Lambton will cover the application fee cost of any students who apply at the event.
