Main Gallery, Sarnia Artists’ Workshop exhibit, “Footloose and Fancy Free.” Official opening on First Friday, July 7, 6-9 pm. SAW was established 59 years ago and has a wonderful diversity of artists with a broad range of styles and mediums. Artists will be in attendance.
A solo show, “Exploring the Inner Cave of the Self and Beyond: Past and Present Work of Joanne Morris,” opens in the Turret Room the same evening. Joanne is a retired registered Art Therapist and OCT and has inspired and motivated hundreds of young artists. She enjoys painting landscapes, gaining a sense of control over her environment by capturing the forces of nature through intense colour and powerful lines. Ms. Morris will be in attendance. Both exhibits run until July 28. Free admission. Exhibits may be viewed and purchased on-line at the Gift Shop.
Resolution Quartet (Rich Lauzon, Wood Hustler, Tim Mellanby, Doug Robinson) will perform barbershop songs from 6-6:30 pm.
The Well Tempered Five (Pete Sambell, Pat Christie, KenVan Ewyk, Greg Robbins, Don Vander Klok), a brass quintet, will perform from 6:30-8:30 pm.
