Join the Lambton Heritage Museum in celebrating the completion of its new permanent exhibit! The project includes a complete redesign of more than 7,800 square feet of existing exhibit space into a permanent exhibit area coupled with a multi-use flex space.
The new exhibit makes use of multi-media technology such as touch screens and display monitors, as well as interactive features and hands-on experiences. New exhibit walls, display cases, LED lighting, audio capabilities, and video surveillance bring the display area up to date with modern museum standards. The renovation also focused on improving the environmental controls to make the space more energy efficient and maintain important climate controls for the artifacts. The new permanent exhibit highlights the rich and multi-faceted history of Lambton County using artifacts from the Museum’s collection of over 25,000 objects.
The Museum is welcoming the public to its Lambton Gallery Re-Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 10th, 2023. The event will take place between 11am and 4pm, with tours of the new space led by Dana Thorne at 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm, and historical demonstrations throughout the day.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, $3 for children and $15 for families. Children three and under are free. For more information please visit the Museum’s website.
