JNAAG Random Acts of Art Workshops: RAAW Photography

The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is inviting teens aged 14-18 to take part in the Random Acts of Art Workshop (RAAW) program this summer.

Summer RAAW are multi-day workshops designed for teens interested in exploring art creation. Led by practicing professional artists, RAAW is the perfect balance of instruction and experimentation. No experience is necessary.

July 4, 5 & 6: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Explore pure imagination in this three-day photography workshop. Award winning photographer Sierra Rei Hart will guide participants to create interesting compositions, perfect lighting, and express story telling through the eye of their camera. After learning to take great photographs, participants then explore post-production editing to enhance their creations and bring their imagination to life.

Participants are encouraged to submit up to five photos to the Take Your Shot Teen Photo Contest. This year’s theme is “Humans of Lambton”. Winners will have their art professionally matted and featured in an exhibit at JNAAG in August.
