The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is inviting families and members of the public to drop-in to the art studio every Saturday afternoon, beginning June 3, between 1pm and 3pm for a short, artist-facilitated studio activity inspired by current exhibitions. New activities will be offered evert month, with the same activity running weekly for the entirety of the month.
In June the “Tracing Faces” program will run on Saturdays from June 3 to June 24. Inspired by John Hartman’s portraits in Many Lives Mark This Place, participants will have fun with colourful oil pastels as they explore portraiture and drawing techniques like contouring.
Family Saturdays are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
