Family Saturday Studio Drop-in – Circuit Trees

February 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is excited to announce the return of weekend family programming, after a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Families and members of the public are invited to join us in the art studio every Saturday afternoon beginning January 28 for engaging, art-based programming.

Drop-in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. for a short, artist-facilitated studio activity inspired by current exhibitions. New activities will be offered every month, with the same activity running weekly for the entirety of that month.

The first series of programs, Circuit Trees, runs from January 28 until February 25, and takes inspiration from Sky World’s celestial tree in Skawennati’s, She Falls for Ages. Participants will learn about electronic components that can be used to make a paper circuit and create their own illuminated tree.

Family Saturdays are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
