Sarnia native Eric Ethridge has been nominated for the Canadian Country Music Association’s Rising Star award.
The St. Patrick’s and Western University grad, now based in Nashville, joins fellow nominees Shawn Austin, Jade Eagleson, Jojo Mason and Sons of Daughters in the category.
The awards will be handed out Sept. 8 in Calgary.
Ethridge, who won the CCMA’s Discovery Award in 2016, is touring Canada this summer and working on his debut, full-length album.
