Students at Errol Village Public School recently won top prize in the Classroom Energy Diet Challenge, which promotes sustainability and reduces energy usage.
The ‘Energy Efficient Eagles’ completed 16 challenges between February and April, including turning off lights and equipment, and encouraging other classes to tidy the schoolyard.
The Camlachie school was awarded $2,500 in prize money from Canadian Geographic and Shell Canada, as well as a $500 charitable donation to the Sarnia & District Humane Society.
