Enbridge Gas is seeking approval to build a 1.2-kilometre pipeline near Corunna.

The proposal involves construction of a 20-inch natural gas line and related facilities connecting the company’s Dow Valve Site and new Valve Site on LaSalle Road in St. Clair Township.

Approval must come from the Ontario Energy Board, which is reviewing the Enbridge application for environmental compliance and its duty to consult Indigenous communities potentially affected by the project.

The company says the pipeline is needed to meet increasing demand for natural gas in the Sarnia area.
