Marley, a miniature horse at the Children’s Animal Farm, gets a dose of medicine from Humane Society worker Cheryl Leystra for a leg and hoof condition resulting from bad food and obesity.

Visitors giving farm animals unhealthy snacks has resulted in a new no-feeding rule at the Canatara Park attraction.

“I’ve seen people feeding them chocolate glazed Timbits,” Leystra said.

Three large animals are currently on medication.
