Sarnia’s annual Easter in the Park event returns to Canatara Park on April 8.

The event, hosted by the City and the Seaway Kiwanis Club, runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the area surrounding the Children’s Animal Farm.

“It’s going to be an exciting day at the park, with loads of Easter-related activities as we hop into spring,” said community services Coordinator Rachel Veilleux, adding that the main event, of course, is the Easter egg hunt, taking place at 10 a.m.

There will be spare areas for children aged four and under, alongside those with accessibility needs, ages five to seven, and 8+.

Other attractions include egg decorating, train rides, Egg Pals Paint Station, Pysanky Easter Egg painting demonstrations, Circus Jonathan performances, a visit from the Easter Bunny at 10 a.m., and food and beverages.

Guests will also be able to check out the Animal Farm free of charge.

To facilitate the event, Cathcart Boulevard will be closed to the west of Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion starting at 6 a.m. on April 8.
