Dinner planned to mark the end of the First World War

The Sarnia Historical Society is organizing a dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War. The TurnerMoore Flanders Fields Dinner will be held Sunday, Nov.

The Sarnia Historical Society is organizing a dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War.

The TurnerMoore Flanders Fields Dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 4 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62, on Front St., starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $40, or $300 for a table of eight.

Keynote speaker will be forensic anthropologist Dr. Sarah Lockyer. She heads a Department of National Defence program that identifies lost Canadian soldiers by examining remains found in unmarked graves in France and Belgium.
