A new dental clinic is in the works for a plaza at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Rapids Parkway.
City council has approved a rezoning application to allow a ‘medical centre’ at 1401-1403 Michigan Ave., formerly occupied by a bank.
Developer Lou Longo said he bought the property 10 years ago and thought he had long-term tenants.
“Banks close,” he said.
He told councillors that a number of dentists have expressed interest in the property.
Longo also squelched a rumour that a methadone clinic was planned for the commercial space.
