Damaging storm on Saturday

Published on

Lightning strikes from a storm that rolled across Sarnia-Lambton Saturday afternoon damaged trees and buildings and left more than 10,000 homes and businesses without power.

With a temperature hitting 31 C. and humidity readings soaring health officials issued a heat alert.

Many residents headed to the beach in Sarnia and Bright’s Grove and sought alternative methods of keeping cool until power was restored.
