Residents may notice a new coloured crosswalk in Sarnia this week.

Green and yellow paint has been added at London Road and Front Streets, after Sarnia lost a friendly OHL bet, according to Sarnia's mayor.

Mike Bradley said in an email that "a temporary crosswalk on London Road with the London hockey team’s colours was the wager," following the Sting’s playoff loss to the London Knights in the Western Conference Finals this week.

London Road between Front and Christina Streets was closed Tuesday for painting.

David Jackson, the city’s general manager of engineering and operations, said the painting would be removed as part of repaving this summer.
