Cox Gardens taking shape

Published on

The latest addition to Sarnia’s park system is rapidly nearing completion.

Cox Gardens is a 2.5-acre greenspace in Germain Park that features meandering walkways, a gazebo and stage area, and a reflective pool near the existing jet monument.

The site offers plenty of places to sit and relax, listen to entertainment or participate in exercise classes conducted by the nearby Strangway Centre.

The gardens are named for local philanthropist Norma Cox, who gave the city $750,000 to make it happen.

The work is expected to be complete by mid-October.
