Lambton Public Health has expanded COVID-19 testing for symptomatic school children to include child-care age children as well.

Testing is available for kids who have been sick and need a test result to return to school or childcare, and children and staff who have been identified as a “close contact” of a COVID-positive person.

Tests are also available for any symptomatic staff member, parent or household member of a child identified as a close contact.

In Sarnia, the School Testing Centre is at 260 Wellington St. (former SCITS high school), open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Petrolia and Forest also have centres.

Appointments are required, by calling Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331. Online options available at app.getcorigan.ca

The move follows positive cases linked to Northern Collegiate, Bright’s Grove Public, and Colonel Cameron school in Corunna.
