Lambton County is now accepting applications for one-time financial assistant to help with either home renovations or home ownership.

The Lambton Renovate program provides qualified applicants with either a grant to $5,000 or a forgivable loan to $20,000 to repair or replace such things as a leaky roof or basement, mould removal, electrical repairs, doors and windows, furnaces and other energy-saving products, and accessibility improvements.

The Lambton Homeownership Down-Payment Assistance program can help households currently renting with a 20-year forgivable loan, secured by registration on title, for a 10% down payment towards the purchase of an affordable new or resale home.
