An oversize load corridor has been discussed for years. It would help local metal fabricating and manufacturing companies get their products to Sarnia Harbour, and from there to export markets around the world.

Currently, moving large industrial components on Sarnia-Lambton roads requires the hiring of extra police to control traffic and utility crews to temporarily adjust hydro lines and streetlights.

An engineering study has been identifying where road and infrastructure improvements are needed.
