Coronavirus update for Thursday, April 30

Journal Staff Lambton Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 as of 9 a.m. today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 182. The number of deaths is unchanged at 14.

Lambton Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 as of 9 a.m. today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 182.

The number of deaths is unchanged at 14.

Eighty-nine people have recovered from the virus, two more than Wednesday.

Another resident of Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia tested positive, bringing the total number to six (four residents and two staff), the health unit said.

Outbreaks have been declared at two other city senior facilities: Landmark Village (30 residents, including six deaths, and 10 staff), and Sumac Lodge, where one staff member has tested positive.

More than 2,000 people in Sarnia-Lambton have now been tested for COVID-19, with 9% of them testing positive for the virus.
