Conservative race is on to replace Davidson

A second contender has emerged to replace Pat Davidson as Sarnia-Lambton’s Conservative candidate in the next federal election.

A second contender has emerged to replace Pat Davidson as Sarnia-Lambton’s Conservative candidate in the next federal election.

Terry Nyp is a financial controller with 20 years experience in various fields, including Chemical Valley journeyman, medical clinic manager, and owner of an accounting software consulting business.

“My broad-based experience enables me to understand and relate to many different people in our community,” Nyp said in a release.

He is the father of three and grandfather of five. Wife Bonnie, a retired teacher, volunteers at King George VI elementary school.

MP Davidson has said she won’t contest the next election expected in October of 2015.

The other declared candidate seeking the Conservative nomination is Pete Aarssen, 52, a regional director of Freedom 55 Financial and Canadian Forces veteran.
