Sarnia has inked a new deal with Garden City Displays to continue staging the city’s fireworks on Canada Day.
The company from Beamsville, Ont. was awarded the four-year contract for a total of $124,000, with an option of four additional years.
Though its bid was the highest of three received by a few thousand dollars, it won the contract with a higher technical score.
Garden City has handled the Canada Day pyrotechnics on Sarnia Bay the past five years.
