City high schoolers shine at regional track meet

Niles Darrius Crews of Northern Collegiate explodes from the starting blocks in the boys 4x400 open relay at the OFSSAA West Regional Track and Field Championship at Windsor’s Alumni Field on May 30.

Crews and teammates Jordan Huzevka, Danny Garratt, and Laim Wright placed third, assuring them a berth in the all-Ontario high school meet stating Thursday in Mississauga.

In total, Sarnia high schools had 24 individual athletes and three relay teams finish in the top four to qualify for OFSSA, the largest high school track meet in Canada.
