About 75 people gathered at City Hall for a peaceful candlelight vigil in support of victims of bullying on Monday, Nov. 7.

Sarnia resident Joanne Dunn, seen here, was one of those who spoke out about her own experience, describing escalating physical and emotional abuse.“I followed the protocol, which was go to H.R. but it didn’t work,” she said, adding that even after the individual was sanctioned the situation ended with her job being terminated.

The candlelight vigil followed a pair of rallies last week in support of Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley. The mayor has been sanctioned by city council following two investigations that found he harassed and bullied senior managers at City Hall, including three administrators who have left the city.
