Sarnia has hired a new chief building official.
As CBO, Ken Barros will be responsible for managing the building services departments and overseeing building code and bylaw enforcement, as well as permits and inspections.
A graduate of LCCVI in Petrolia and Fanshawe College, Barros has worked in the city’s building department the past five years as a technician, building official and supervisor of building, a role he retains.
His first day in the new job was Jan. 21.
