City announces new fire chief

The City of Sarnia has named Brian Arnold the new fire chief, replacing John Kingyens, who is retiring after a 26-year career with Sarnia Fire Rescue.

The City of Sarnia has named Brian Arnold the new fire chief, replacing John Kingyens, who is retiring after a 26-year career with Sarnia Fire Rescue.

Arnold has been deputy fire chief with the City of Cambridge for the past four years, and has also held positions of deputy fire chief for Woodstock, as well as a training instructor with the City of London.

He began his firefighting career with the City of Toronto, where he spent 11 years. Arnold takes over beginning June 10.
