Celebration of Lights returns this weekend

The opening ceremonies for this year’s Celebration of Lights in Centennial Park begin at 4 p.m. Saturday. Plenty of entertainment has been lined up, including hay rides and trolley rides, Paw Patrol, face painting and other children’s attractions.

The Christmas Band begins playing holiday favourites at 6 p.m. and Santa Claus himself arrives at 7 p.m.

This year’s light displays get switched on at 7:15 p.m., followed by a fireworks display over Sarnia Bay.

Meanwhile, the deadline to enter the Bluewater Power home lighting competition is Dec. 4, with judging on Dec. 11.
