Sarnia’s Vince Caschera has been chosen an all-Crossroads League honourable mention in his second season of collegiate baseball at Indiana-based Goshen College.
He led the Leafs this season with a .317 average, six home runs and 33 RBI.
He also topped the team in hits, walks, being hit by a pitch and putouts and was among the team leaders in doubles and runs scored.
Goshen finished 6-22 in the conference and did not advance to the post season.
Caschera will return to southwestern Ontario this summer where he’ll play for the St. Thomas Tomcats of the Junior Inter-County Baseball League.
He is eligible for the Major League Baseball draft in 2016.
